TCP/IP interface for exchanging messages between applications in different operating environments.

WQ is a TCP/IP gateway designed to integrate legacy systems with one another or with new market technologies.

The message sending and receiving management provided by the solution eliminates the need for additional development costs associated with creating interfaces to connect your business applications.

WQ seamlessly supports business applications running in diverse operating environments - all at a low cost!

WQ Applications:

1. Database queries/updates on remote systems;

2. Responses to queries/updates originating from remote systems.

WQ operates independently of the specific information being transferred or the underlying business rules, as it focuses exclusively on managing communication between the environments involved.

Scenarios

The primary scenarios for using WQ are:

Integrated: WQ and WQConector are installed on the same server where the business applications reside. These applications integrate locally with WQ via the Connector API. Each 'Application Server' will have its own WQ and WQConector instance.

Distributed: WQ is installed on one server, while the application resides on another. In this case, the Connector acts as an agent facilitating communication between the application and the remote WQ. This scenario allows multiple ('N') application servers to access a single WQ instance, with a WQConector installed on each application server.

Licensing

WQ connecting to another WQ

  • License sold in pairs for WQ-to-WQ connections (e.g., WQ Linux and WQ CICS)

WQ-SNG connecting to SNG Server

  • License sold individually for connection to the B3 SNG system.

WQ Connector integrating the business application with WQ

  • Each server that sends or receives data strings exchanged with WQ will require a WQ Connector license.

Specifications

WQ operates in pairs; that is, it requires installation on each of the platforms to be integrated for communication—both local and remote systems.

Solution Versions

WQ enables communication between legacy applications across distinct platforms, interacting with business applications via message queues, in the following versions:

1. WQ CICS;

2. WQ Windows/Linux/Unix.

Features
