Auditing in the SNA environment
AuditSNA is a software solution that offers traceability and detailed logging of operations performed in mainframe environments, enabling:
• Faithful reproduction of the screens and times when accesses via terminal 3270 and APPC transactions were carried out.
• Faithful reconstruction of activities performed in these environments, through the capture of all SNA sessions, whether performed via 3270 screens or APPC transactions (LU6.2),
• Sent and received messages are captured, prepared, and linked in a text file or imported into a spreadsheet (CSV format), containing all the data necessary for monitoring and controlling these events.
AuditSNA monitors all APPC and 3270 session operations in SNA, based on Administrator, Developer, and TN3270E User profiles, displaying 100% of screens and transactions performed. Additionally, it identifies automation bots and non-standard access.
Operation
• User Monitoring
Real-time monitoring through the AuditSNANet / AuditSNAAlert components, which quickly detect the misuse of any functionality or information, immediately identifying the terminal responsible for such behavior, identifying the network address (MAC Address) and other related information.
• Transaction Monitoring
It monitors the total number of transactions performed on the Network, in real time. The AuditSNANet component allows the capture and recording in a file of all transactions, with the data necessary to identify each one and the terminals or applications from which they originated.
The AuditSNANet component performs real-time monitoring of APPC and 3270 (SNA) sessions, allowing the AuditSNAAlert component to receive captured screens or APPC sessions to issue alerts whenever one or more occurrences meet the previously defined filters.
